We are delighted to announce the launch of the Academy for the Mathematical Sciences’ very own podcast series.
Entitled “Intersections”, the podcast will bring together different communities from across the mathematical sciences, shining a light on our similarities and shared interests.
In our first episode, Executive Director Christie Marr interviews the Gold, Silver and Bronze medallists of the STEM for Britain awards winners- Arkady Wey (Oxford), Jenny Power (Bath) and Chris Hickey (Arup). These rising stars talk about their experience at the STEM for Britain awards, showcasing their work to MPs. They discuss the importance of having decision-makers interested in mathematical sciences research, the benefits of knowledge exchange, and the importance of maths communication.
