Andy Noyes is a Professor of Education at the University of Nottingham where he has been Head of the School of Education and APVC for Research in the Faculty of Social Sciences. Andy is Chair of the Joint Mathematical Council of the UK and a member of the Royal Society’s Advisory Committee on Mathematics Education and Mathematical Futures Programme.
Andy’s research interests include post-16 mathematics education, change in complex learning systems and educational policy. His most recent projects span mathematics learning in every phase of education as well as teacher professional development. He has advised DfE on post-16 mathematics and worked with regulators in England and Scotland on qualifications reform and evaluation.
