Charlotte Francis is a maths teacher and Head of Mathematics at Saint Catherine’s School for Girls, Bexleyheath, where she has taught since 2006. She is founder and CEO of Biankha and Friends, an organisation which she created to empower, motivate and inspire young girls of colour, to excel in the 21st-century through encouraging them to embrace their culture and heritage and succeed in a modern and ever changing society. She does this through education via the medium dolls, role-play, books and animation. Charlotte is also the founder and CEO of Tutall, a Mathematics tutoring company, which she created to ensure tuition is accessible to all students no matter their socio economic background. As part of her services, she offers affordable and free maths sessions.
She was awarded the British Empire Medal in 2023 for her services to education.
