Ana G. Lecuona is a Senior Lecturer of Pure Mathematics in the School of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of Glasgow. Her research focuses on low dimensional topology, more precisely on the interactions between three and four dimensional manifolds. A central object of her research are slice knots and links, which she studies using techniques from algebraic topology, cut-and-paste constructions and combinatorics.
Ana was the Glasgow representative of the EMS from 2019 to 2021. She is currently the EMS representative in the LMS Committee for Women and Diversity in Mathematics and she is also the CWDM representative in the LMS Early Career Research Committee.
