Professor Miguel F. Anjos

Advisory Board

Miguel F. Anjos is Chair of Operational Research at the University of Edinburgh, and Schöller Senior Fellow at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg, Germany. His research expertise is in mathematical optimization, with a focus on semidefinite optimization, facility layout, and electric power systems. Miguel’s industry collaborators include EDF, Hydro-Quebec, National Grid ESO, and Rio Tinto.

Miguel is co-lead of Knowledge Exchange at ICMS and a member of the Research Committee of the OR Society. He currently serves as INFORMS Vice-President International and Chair-Elect of the Mathematical Optimization Society. Miguel’s accolades include an Inria International Chair, a Canada Research Chair, the NSERC-Hydro-Quebec-Schneider Electric Industrial Research Chair, and a Humboldt Fellowship. He is a Fellow of EUROPT and of the Canadian Academy of Engineering.
